BCC Forest Schools

We have been working with a number of schools and home education groups for several years as part of our Forest School Programme either within the Sussex Wildlife Trust or working directly. We have been particularly involved with Special Needs, Pupil Referral Units, Alternative Provision Centres and Home Education Children. Here's some things we've done with these kids:
  • Bird Houses
  • Cakes and all sorts of goodies on the fire
  • Clay ovens
  • Wattle and Daub fencing
  • Low level tree houses
  • Spoon carving
 And much, much more.

We aim to get every child to achieve their potential in the outdoors, where they can be free from the boundaries of the formal education system that often fails then, and excel in an encouraging and empowering environment, without walls.

The support of the school staff is paramount to us in these sessions and we work as a team, and every week we all learn new things about ourselves too!

£115 for 3 hours, £140 for 4 hours, either in your school grounds or at one of our sites around Sompting.
